sneek
Bertran G. Lucas (born October 9, 1976), also known as Sneekatrapolis
"Sneek" or Doc-do-wrong is the next best thing happening in urban music.
Born and raised in Lynwood, California Doc was exposed to gangs, violence
and drugs at a young age. A son of a retired judge and a real estate broker
Doc had no silver spoon in his mouth. Instead of choosing the right path,
Doc always chose the opposite of right. After moving out of the gang and
drug infested city of Lynwood, California Doc's parent's decided there three
sons needed a better life. This is when they moved to Cerritos, California.
At this time, Doc really grabbed a hold of rap music and began to take it
seriously. Around the summer of 1991/92 Sneek was born. The name Sneek was
give by a childhood friend who he would frequently shoplift with at the age
of thirteen. 1994 upon barely graduating from Richard Gahr high school Doc
was accepted into Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma no sooner than
he arrived he was expelled for gun possession and conspiracy to distribute
drugs, after returning back to Cerritos, California Doc seriously began
writing and perfecting his craft. Still not entirely focused Doc was in and
out of junior college until finally in 1999, the military came knocking and
doc decided to answer enlisting in the United States Navy. It was an
experience to remember. Doc spent time in Yokosuka, Japan and has visited
such countries as Australia, Thailand, Singapore and Korea. Aboard the
aircraft carrier the U.S.S.Kitty, hawk a floating city of 5,000 men and
women. It seemed as though Doc was on the right path, until you guessed it
negativity once again caught up to him and again disrupted his life. This
time he was facing major jail time for introduction of controlled substances
on a military vessel robbery and burglary. By the grace of God Doc beat all
the charges and was discharged from the Navy with an other than Honorable
discharge. Discouraged and dejected Doc headed back to America after 2 years
overseas. In 2001 with money saved up from military service Doc and his
older brother purchased studio equipment and thus G.C. records was born. It
was 2003/04 that G.C. records (God's Child) officially was established. Doc
and Conman (Doc's Older brother) began work on the classic EP called
"Evolution". After a chance meeting with the program director at 100.3 the
beat the group name of "The Heatroxxx" was adapted. Doc was once again on
the right path. Nov. 11, 2004 after contemplating a life or death decision
and countless prayer Doc donated a kidney to his ailing older brother who
was on his deathbed. By the grace of God Doc pulled through after nearly
bleeding to death and having to be resuscitated on the operating table. Doc
fought for life and pulled through thus adapting the "Gift of lift" theory.
"I believe God has allowed me to experience the events in my life for a
reason and I am still here for a purpose and that is to make music" now
living in Dallas, Georgia Doc is set to reek havoc on the airwaves with his
"XXXtra crispy style of music.
