“I’m following PATMAN bringin' positive heat to the airwaves, trying to prove that you can sell CD's without using the N, the F or the B word. Join the movement”
Young Charra, born Erica D. Perkins, was born in Chicago IL on September 27, 1990. When she was four years old her parents split, and she moved to Iowa with her mother. At seven years old Charra was introduced to rap music. "The first rap song I every heard that I can still remember was "The Next Episode" by Dre, after that I was hooked."
Young Charra would rap about anything at anytime. When she was eleven years old she wrote and recorded her first song entitled "Late at Night." Her friends and family were astonished at what they heard. "My aunt heard my music and decided that she would manage me, from then on it's just been me and her..."
Donna Knight, manager of Young Charra, decided that everybody who was anybody would want to hear her. So she made Charra hone her craft, making her spit freestyle after freestyle, making her fight battle after battle until she rose to the top in the underground hip-hop world. Now at the age of 17, Young Charra is in the studio recording her second Demo for Rostrum Records. I'm sure it wont be long until a major record lable picks her up
