When i first clicked on BMILLIS page
i noticed he had a Halloween contest winner badge
so i immediately searched for his winning entry.
The first thing that struck me about BMILLI
was his accent and the way he used it to
excentuate his flow, it would be easy for BMILLI
to go the same tired route as a lot of the
southern mcs do, by making sum dirrty dirty type tracks
but this Halloween entry is something different.
Still fresh from my Boris Karloffesque experience
on monstermatts page this would have to have been
an impressive ghost story in order to tingle my bones…
and i have to say it DELIVERED.
the atmosphere was set in concrete from the first
second by the spooky beat expertly produced by BDIZZLE
BMILLI’s voice took over the beat and described
halloween with perfect timing and some creative
rhymes, I can see why this won the contest
as it stands alone as an excellent hiphop track
aswell as a perfect halloween entry,
so as yet nothing negative..
NEXT i randomly selected a track called
FUCK GEORGE W BUSH!!!!
recorded 1 year ago
The first thing that is apparent is
the quality of the vocals is not too good
but as it was recorded a year ago and i have
heard a more recent one i can see
that obviously Bmilli has worked on his vocal
production and is at present sounding a lot better.
I realised after clicking on this track that this probably
isnt a good reflection on BMILLIS talent
seen as it was recorded a year ago. This may not
be a long time but in terms of an artists development
it is a LONG time.
The flow on this particular track didnt sound
as good as the other track i listened to
as it was sometimes off beat and at times seemed
improvised like it was freestyled.
BUT as i said it was a whole year ago so
I chose to leave this track and find a more recent one
I went back to his first page and found a track called
COLD WORLD!!! BLACK ICE BEAT
The beat first of all was pretty nice
with sum nice piano sampling and lovely drum pattern
The vocals on BMILLI were better quality on this one
with just a little distortion from the levels peaking.
However the little distortion is made up for
by the EXQUISITE lyrics delivered with a melancholy
flow that literally broke my heart as i listened,
I wasnt expecting it to be this sort of
‘reality rap’ when i saw the title i expected it to
be a ‘guns, drugs, bitches’ type of track
but in fact is a horrific true story of the
way BMILLI lost his father and the feelings he went through
to be able to write this sort of track after
such an experience is amazing in itself
but to be able to rap it so masterfully
is such an accomplishment.
The emotions conveyed through the pain in
BMILLIS voice are truly heartbreaking and this track takes
the listener through a series of feelings leaving
you teary-eyed and completely in awe of
the braveness of this young mc.
IN CONCLUSION
BMILLI seems like a concientious mc
aware of both his own flaws and the flaws
of the genre he belongs to,
it is evident that he has spent the last few months working hard to
perfect his style and ‘up his game’
I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of the music on milli’s
page he has a excellent social awareness
and his ‘cold world’ left me with a feeling
i have only before felt when listening to
a track by eminem.
All in all Bmilli has improved immensely from his beggining
tracks to his current ones.
I am glad he put himself forward for this review, yet again
showing his desire to improve his ability.
the only negative things i had to say were that his
quality on his vocals weren’t up to scratch
but he has improved this greatly
and his earlier flows were sometimes a little off
as was his limited vocabulary
but all of these problems have been addressed long
before i got here and BMILLI is now
an mc with an immense vocabulary
unique style and his quality is sounding a lot better
as BMILLI himself knows there is always room for improvement
and I look forward to hearing more from this intelligent
individual.
BMILLI keep holding on to your unique style
and please for the love of hiphop
dont fall into the dirty south club style genre .
you have the skill, determination, and talent to
be something REALLY special that people
will be able to relate to.
NEVER STOP IMPROVING
thank you

Man thats the best comment ive ever been given….”I was left with a feeling
ive only had after listening to an Eminem track” wow!! And yes listening to me
a year ago to now is a far cry. I have busted my ass to be a better mc, up my quality
and def up my vocab. I plan to continue to work hard to achieve better quality and
better subject matter. Thanx so much for taking the time to listen to my music and give
me ur opinions. I would have to say u were on point with ur views on me as an artist
u need to get a job as a hip hop critic real talk!!

And don’t worry i’ll never sell out to the club only, dance only style of my
generation. Though you may hear me go that route for a lead single like on
my collab thats on lil frost page called make it clap but, besides that ur gonna hear
mostly real life subject matter and my struggles in day to day life in my music cuz
thats what I relate to when I listen to music so thats what I wanna give ppl that listen
to my music. thanx
