1. go to www.twitter.com
2. register – choose a name that’s as short as possible
3. when you register it will as ask you to put in your email address to check your contacts for who is already on twitter – you should add them! you can also invite people from your address book, but i’d do that another time.
4. Make damn sure you add kkbeat – go to my profile www.twitter.com/kkbeat and press follow

• on the post below (by pharaoh) you can see that he has written about me to his followers (thanks dude). He’s put the @ sign before my name, which does two things: 1. Creates a link to my profile, so people can check out what I’m saying and if they like it, they can follow it. And 2. It notifies me that someone has spoken at me. You can see all of these ‘@name’ messages, along with ‘direct messages’ on your home page.

• you can add links to your tracks in your twitter posts (tweets). here’s matt… he’s got the hang of links again. DAMN. (lol). You only have a limited space to type into, so you might want to use a service like http://tinyurl.com to cut the url down, like matt has below (you can also use bit.ly)

• if there is someone who just keeps posting links, you can choose to stop following them, so you don’t get people who just post shit all the time. it’s like the forum but you filter out spammers.
