I THINK RAPPERS SHOULD B PLACED N DIFFERENT RANKS BASED UPON POINT STATUS, UNTIL SKILLZ IMPROOVE. EVERYBODY THATS BEING CONSIDERED DOPE ISNT!!!

that’s an interesting idea. what would these ranks be? what else can we use besides Dope points to rank someone?

it definitely couldnt just be dope points (first of all cuz i dont got enuff) and some dudes just put out tons of tracks and, 3 dopes on this, 4 dopes on that, soon you got 1000 pts. I know this would probly be a major revamp, but an mc rating system would be good. instead of just a dope point, u rate the track 1-5 stars or whatever. dudes wit the highest average get a certain status

that wouldnt change anything tho
all your doing is dropping average numerics for a rating system

SO WITH A STAR RATING YOU CAN STILL RETURN THE LUV TO SOMONE BUT A LIL MORE ACCURATLY LIKE THIS TRACK IS OK BUT ITS NOT A 5 MORE LIKE A 3. THEN ALL OF YOUR TRACKS STAR RATINGS COULD BE AVERAGED TO COME UP WITH AN MC STAR RATING. ITS BRILLANT.

Well, what if you included the # of tracks a person recorded, so like a person who records 1000 tracks and only has a 1000 dope points, would have a 1 average dope point rating, where as a person with 100 tracks and 3000 dope points would have a 30 point avg rating. That kind of makes it more about quality than quantity which is good.

mrpink you hit it right on the head!!! thats a good idea… i know these are juz suggestions but yeah if you have like a 1-5 par (point average rating) you can have title beginner, 5-10 is amature, 10-20 average rapper, 20 and up is dope MC… and if your 0 or under … WACK! and when you have these titles they govern how much dope points you give like the beginner is 0.5 dope points, amature is 1 dp, average 1.5, and dope could give 2…. juz sumthin cool to see… i don’t know much about making and running a website so im not sure how easy or difficult i can be to implement these suggestions~! STAY UP!!!

WOW!!! I was just talking in another thread about how the Dope Points needed to be done away with. I think having a star rating(1-5 stars) and then giving the user a rating based on the average of his tracks’ star rating would be a much better idea than Dope Points. Keep up the brainstorming, I’m liking where this is headed.

i think the lil star (or mic would be more fitting) ranking might work and then u have a certain title/status like leobdope said. that would be better than getting just an overall dopepoint cuz some tracks are just OK (like epickone said) but should still get some credit.

I kinda want to be able to rate ppl on a 1-10 scale. That way i can say somones good, with out saying there great.

i think it should be a scale from 1-10
and once you get 100 dope points all together you go up a rank

0 dope points=Toy
100 dope points=novice
200 dope points=advanced
300 dope points=MC
400 dope points=master
6000 dope points=legend

ooo instead of tha star/mic/1-10 rating system, it could be D-O-P-E. since some tracks are not all the way hot and this is DOPEtracks, the ppl can be able to rank it accordingly and still keep the “DOPE” part in there
“D”=weak track, “DO”=okay track, “DOP”=good track, “DOPE”=dope track (duh)
everybody’s track start off with a “D”
or something like that you know. then everybody’s ranking could average out. and maybe the average of all yo tracks could tell whether your a DOPE MC or not.
