Mistah F.A.B.Mistah F.A.B. has long been known as Oakland’s Freestyle King. Aside from freestyling, Mistah FAB has established himself as one of the growing army of Bay Area artists who associate themselves with the Thizznation. He is signed to Bay Area rap legend Mac Dre's label, Thizz Entertainment and Atlantic Records.
WordsworthWhether rapping about life on the streets or the angels he feels watching over him, the lyricism throughout Mirror Music shows that Wordsworth thinks vividly, outside of the box. Wordsworth explains of his style, “In my rhymes, I try to create pictures that illustrate emotions — like an audio art gallery of emotions.”
We kicked off "the Mixtape Contest" by asking the community's producers to submit original beats for possible inclusion in the project. Our efforts went global and of the 13 beats chosen, one was from France, another from Germany and a third from the United Kingdom.
Then it was time to select the vocalists. Dopetracks enlisted the help of Hip Hop legends MCLyte, Chali 2na, Wordsworth and Mistah Fab to choose the top emcees. The votes were cast and on January 14th, four talented strangers were flown to L.A. on a mission to record the ultimate community mixtape. With only seven days to complete 14 original songs, the emcees dive deep into a rigorous recording schedule but still manage to live it up Cali-style.
