Here's Eq Magic Numbers: Kick: 100hz Snare: 2.5kHz HHats: Shelf at 11Kz if they are to Tin can. When you have vocals, the song gets lowered at 600hz-1Khz a bit to make room for vocalist.

If have Sub bass that was competing with a Kick that bumps to, then you make a narrow notch at 100hz with Parametric EQ, then that gets lowered all the way. Then shelf at 60hz, adjust that one.

The magic Eq Frequency to play with is 100Hz. In a parametric EQ use a Shelf and lower it at 100hz. Best thing is to lower it all the way (kill your bump) and raise it up slowly until you like level.

Who are gonna raise there Eq's in the car (that's double bump). The key is to use a spectral analyzer an try to get all the Frequencies even. I use to put to much low too, it's the first mistake.

I could hear the extreme smashing of the bass and kick. The rule is: if it is bumping hard with the mixer eq's at Zero it is way to much, because think of the people who are going to raise there Eq's.

Your Composition skill is not bad at all, your hitting the right notes. You need to work on the Engineering of the mix, I could imagine the orginal must bump extremely hard in your room, I could hear.
